Icheon City AI-Generated Webtoon Contest

Create an AI-generated webtoon about the Goryeo-era diplomat Seo Hui to win the Icheon Mayor's Award.

This contest only accepts entries written in Korean.

PrizeTotal prize money of 3 million won (~US$2,200), including a grand prize of 500,000 won (~US$365) and the Icheon Mayor's Award.

The Icheon City Government is running an AI-generated webtoon contest centered on Seo Hui, the renowned Goryeo-era diplomat. Under the theme "Seo Hui and AI: wisdom that transcends time," participants use generative AI to create original webtoons depicting how Seo Hui's wisdom could resolve modern-day conflicts. Winners receive prize money and awards including the Icheon Mayor's Award.

Eligibility

  • Open to the Korean public.
  • Three divisions: general, middle & high school, and elementary school.
  • One entry per person.

Format

  • Works must be created with generative AI.
  • Up to 20 panels; completed works only.
  • JPG or PNG, minimum width 1,500 px, 300 dpi or higher.

Submission

  • Submit by email to cliff46@korea.kr.
  • Name the AI program used when submitting.
  • Submission period: 2026-07-08 to 2026-08-14.

Results

  • Awards ceremony on 2026-09-05 at Seohui Library (14 winners).
