The JUMP Shin Sekai Manga Award is a monthly newcomer manga award hosted by Weekly Shonen Jump. Submissions are judged directly by active serializing creators rather than editors alone. It offers aspiring artists a chance to win 2,000,000 yen and have their work published in the magazine.
Rules
Eligibility
- Open to professionals and amateurs.
- Unpublished original works only.
- Simultaneous submission to other manga contests is not allowed.
Format
- Story manga: 15-55 pages.
- Gag manga: 11-31 pages.
- Analog: B4 manga manuscript paper.
- Digital: JPG or PNG, max 2,000 px wide x 10,000 px tall.
Submission
- Postal entries: must be postmarked by the deadline day.
- Web entries: accepted until 23:59 on the deadline day.
Results
- Entries are judged directly by active Weekly Shonen Jump creators.
- Results appear in Weekly Shonen Jump about two months after the round closes.
