Privacy Policy

Version 2.1 · Effective: 2026-05-04

This Privacy Policy sets forth how M2W, Inc. ("the Company") collects, uses, shares, and manages personal information and related data of users when they use the platform and related services ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service (particularly Articles 4, 11, and 12).

1. Information We Collect

(1) Information Provided by Users

  • Name, email address, username, and profile information
  • Information, content, and data entered, posted, or uploaded on the Service (collectively, "User Content")
  • Responses to inquiries, feedback, and surveys
  • Payment-related information submitted via our payment processor (see Section 3)

(2) Automatically Collected Information

  • IP address, device type, operating system, and browser information
  • Usage logs including access date/time, operation history, pages viewed, and feature interactions
  • Submission-derived structural metadata (panel counts, pacing scores, composition metrics — not the actual artwork or dialogue)
  • Information collected through cookies and similar technologies

2. Purpose of Use

The Company uses the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Provision, operation, maintenance, and improvement of the Service
  • Enhancement of user experience, feature improvement, and quality management
  • Understanding, analysis, and statistical processing of usage patterns, including engagement, retention, and outcome metrics
  • Internal research, benchmarking, and the development of new features, non-generative feedback systems, scoring systems, and analytics tools (in aggregated or anonymized form)
  • Preparation of aggregated and anonymized reports, dashboards, and case studies for investors, advisors, business partners, service providers, industry associations, and regulatory bodies
  • Provision of information processing and auxiliary functions utilizing external tools and external AI services
  • Security assurance and prevention of unauthorized use, fraud, and abuse
  • Communication with users, important notices, billing, and support
  • Compliance with laws and protection of rights

3. Use of External AI Services and Third-Party Processors

The Service uses external AI services and tools (including large language models, AI inference providers, OCR, and panel-detection services) to process information entered by users in order to enhance convenience, provide features, and generate feedback.

  • The Company does not use your uploaded artwork, dialogue, etc. to train AI image generation models. The Company does not reproduce, display, or distribute your work to any third party except as necessary to provide the Service or as expressly permitted by these policies.
  • Abstract structural metadata derived from your uploads (such as panel counts, pacing scores, and composition metrics — not the actual artwork or text) may be used in aggregate, anonymized form to improve the Service, including non-generative feedback and scoring systems.
  • When using external AI services, processing is limited to the scope necessary for the Company's stated purposes of use, and such providers are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations substantially equivalent to those of the Company.

The Company also uses third-party service providers for payment processing (Stripe, Inc.), cloud hosting, analytics, and email delivery. These providers process information only to the extent necessary to provide the Service.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure to Third Parties

The Company does not sell, lease, or improperly disclose users' personal information to third parties. The Company may share information only as follows:

(a) Aggregated, statistical, or anonymized information — The Company may share aggregated, statistical, or anonymized reports, dashboards, case studies, and summaries derived from usage of the Service with investors, advisors, business partners, service providers, industry associations, regulatory bodies, and in the context of corporate transactions, provided that such shared information does not identify any individual user or reveal the substantive content of any specific User Content.

(b) Service providers — The Company may share information with contractors and service providers (cloud infrastructure, analytics tools, external AI services, payment processors, email delivery, etc.) to the extent necessary for business operations, under confidentiality and data-protection obligations substantially equivalent to those of the Company.

(c) With user consent — The Company may share individual-level information, including User Content, with third parties (such as publisher or editor partners) only with the user's explicit consent, typically through opt-in programs disclosed to the user at the time of enrollment.

(d) Legal compliance — The Company may share information when required by law, valid legal process, or regulatory authority, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Company, its users, or third parties.

(e) Corporate transactions — In the context of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, asset sale, or financing, information may be transferred to the acquiring or successor entity, provided that the recipient is bound by substantially equivalent confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

5. Data Security

The Company implements reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect collected information from unauthorized access, leakage, alteration, or loss, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, due to the nature of internet communications, complete security cannot be guaranteed.

6. User Rights

Users have the following rights within the scope of applicable laws (including Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)):

  • Right to access, correct, update, or delete personal information
  • Right to withdraw consent previously given
  • Right to opt out of specific purposes of use
  • Right to data portability (to the extent technically feasible)
  • Right to object to the processing of personal information for direct marketing
  • Right to file a complaint with the applicable data protection authority

The Company does not "sell" personal information as that term is defined under the CCPA or similar laws.

Requests regarding these rights may be submitted to support@m2w.ai. The Company will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Company uses cookies and similar technologies to enhance convenience, analyze usage, and improve the Service. Users can control these through their browser settings. Certain features may not function correctly if cookies are disabled.

8. Data Retention

The Company retains personal information for the period necessary to achieve the purposes of use or for the period required by law. Information that is no longer needed will be deleted or anonymized using appropriate methods.

Aggregated and anonymized records derived from use of the Service, which do not identify any individual user, may be retained indefinitely, even after account deletion, for purposes described in Sections 2 and 4.

9. Children's Privacy and Minors

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. If the Company determines that personal information of a child under 13 has been collected, it will be promptly deleted.

If the user is between 13 and the age of majority in their jurisdiction (in Japan, 18), the user may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, as provided in Article 9.4 of the Terms of Service. Additional monetization, publisher submission, and partnership programs may require guardian consent or adult participation.

10. International Data Transfers

The Company may process users' information outside of their country to the extent necessary for service operations. In such cases, appropriate protective measures (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards) will be taken.

11. Changes to This Policy

The Company may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email, and will become effective 30 days after posting.
